The infinite diversity of the circle.

March 3, 2024 Hanna Biedermann

This day will become a creative break, something special for the heart and soul.

The circle is something fascinating. It can be interpreted in many different ways. The circle symbolises constant change, in which our lives are reflected. As we immerse ourselves in the theme, it will become clear how endless the possibilities are. The circle stands there in all its purity. A bristly brush penetrates it with ink, provoking a transformation. An impulsive breakout from the circle, the script whirls through the air. Different moods emerge: calm, impetuous, wild. Emotions are the driving force behind expression.

Compositions with a modern calligraphic script, swirling around in the slipstream of the circle. Or with a historical script that creates calm, for example Uncial. And that is exactly what these fascinating transformations are about — whether through tools, materials, or collage elements. An interplay of different interpretations, united with calligraphy. Intuitive compositions, while experiencing artistic freedom in which one’s own individuality becomes visible.

I support all participants individually according to their needs — whether in practising modern calligraphic script or Uncial, or in refreshing their knowledge of another script of their choice.
