Experimental & high-contrast calligraphy<\/strong><\/p>\n

The fascination of contrasts<\/strong><\/p>\n

F\u00fcr Anf\u00e4nger und Fortgeschrittene<\/p>\n

After several years, I am returning to the Mariastein Monastery<\/strong> \u2013 to a place full of peace, concentration, and special atmosphere<\/strong>For some, this weekend will be a small \u201crevival\u201d; for others, a new new discovery.<\/strong>As soon as the monastery gates close behind us, everyday life stays outside. Silence begins to spread. Time slows down. And exactly there, our journey begins into... the world of experimental calligraphy.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Finest lines meet powerful forms<\/strong>. Delicate movement<\/strong> meets striking presence<\/strong>. With Pointed nib<\/strong> and Pilot Parallel Pen<\/strong> we explore exciting contrasts<\/strong> and weave them into surprising calligraphic compositions<\/strong> full of expression and personality.<\/p>\n

Bold Beauty<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The focus is on the expressive writing style Bold Beauty<\/em><\/strong>: a modern, dynamic block lettering<\/strong>, which consists exclusively of lowercase letters and is wonderfully easy to write. Its very simplicity opens up... countless possibilities<\/strong> for experimenting. Written with a Parallel Pen, broad-edged nib.<\/strong> poster nib or flat brush.<\/strong> it develops a new character again and again.<\/p>\n

But it does not stop with the script alone.<\/p>\n

Layer by layer, lively compositions emerge: fine pointed-nib lines play around compact... letterforms<\/strong>, backgrounds are painted, structures are built up.<\/strong>, Contrasts<\/strong> consciously used. Playfully, works emerge between clarity and wildness, calm and movement.<\/p>\n

This Workshop<\/strong> is an invitation to let yourself be inspired, to try something new, and to fully immerse yourself in the creative process.<\/strong> to immerse yourself in it. Whether experienced or curious to experiment \u2013 you will be amazed at what expressive power in pen, ink<\/strong> and your own hands.<\/p>\n

Kurszeiten: <\/strong>Fr. 19.45 – 21 Uhr\/ Sa. 9- 18.30 Uhr ab 20 Uhr fakultativ\/ So 9 – 17 Uhr<\/p>\n

Where:<\/strong> Kloster Mariastein, Klosterplatz 2, 4115 Mariastein SO<\/p>\n

Workshop costs:<\/strong>\u00a0 CHF 430.\u2013 including pen holder, 2 nibs, black ink, course materials, and a Parallel Pen including 6 replacement cartridges, which I will order.<\/p>\n

Board and lodging<\/strong>CHF 270.\u2013 excluding drinks.<\/p>\n
