Why wait for a special occasion like a birthday or Christmas? Surprise someone close to your heart just once in a while and completely unexpectedly. It’s the kind of thing that makes people smile and hearts leap for joy, especially if you’re giving a great gift of your own creation. Love is the only thing that multiplies when it is shared.

Amazing pictures develop from inks. Some are created by chance. For the rest, you need a bit of flair with the dosage and guidance of the colors. In the course, you will learn how to create good and harmonious results. We use photo paper for processing, you will learn how to use it. The pointed nib sets the beginning and has an important function. You will create a series of pictures, each individual piece in a different way, which will come into their own with little tricks. Focus on the design of the cards. Choose a background for this, with paper in a matching color, plus decorations and effects. Another option is to create a triptychon from a main image.

Cut out sections of the pictures, combine them into collages and create a great background.

If you have already done calligraphy, combine the pictures with a selected calligraphic font. You choose a suitable text to go with it, especially if you write your own texts that speak from your heart.

Beginners will get to know a free, modern font with a pointed nib to go with these pictures.

Writing ink e.g. black Pelikan 4001

HB pencil, eraser, ruler

2 Writing inks or Zeichentusche colors by choice from Rohrer & Klingner (I will bring black) from Bösner/Gerstaecker

Glue

Scissors

Dropper

Small water container

Flat brush approx. from 4.5 cm (or you can use mine)

Brushes for mixing colors

Gouache colors that you have, my colors are also available

Cutter (or use mine)

Cloth or household paper

Papers:

Glossy photo paper a few sheets A4 or also postcard size, like from Kodak 270mg from Migros

Black or color of your choice – handicrafts – cardboard from 160mg/200mg from 4 pieces A4 or larger, can also be other decorative paper

Practice paper from Migros Papeteria 120mg (no lighter paper, these are unsuitable for ink)

Optional a painting board (choose the size) if you’d like to make a collage
