Who still writes by hand today? Handwriting seems almost exotic, but calligraphy is able to enhance this, it triggers astonishment. The writings are executed slowly, an occupation in which calm, and slowness are required. This state is beneficial in these hectic times, one can relax, slow down, pause. Get into a flow, be happy about your progress. There are two scriptures to choose from for this day, for those with previous knowledge and for beginners.

Course 1: Modern Calligraphy

A script that radiates lightness and comes along dancing. It is a free, modern, calligraphic script that can be presented in many different and individual ways. It is written with the pointed pen in a connected manner with interruptions. The pen leaves fine and thick traces. The alphabet is learned, and the first words are created with ink and gouache colors. The aim of this day is to get to know the “framework” of writing and its execution in order to practice it further at home with the help of the course templates.

Course 2: The Anglaise

This classic, cursive script has oval shapes. The letters have accentuated, thick strokes and thin upstrokes, with the pointed pen these features come out beautifully. It requires careful, slow execution to form the letters. The anglaise captivates with its elegance. The introductory course shows how the letters are executed, whereby the writing and sitting posture is important. At the end of the course you will have got a feeling for the writing and will be able to continue to practice at home.

Card design: This topic is part of calligraphy. It is a pleasure to design cards yourself, to give them as gifts, to excite people with them. I show you tips and tricks for cards, with ink and colors.
